Julie is the Events Coordinator for Vizias, and executes that role for the Austin Forum on Technology & Society. She also runs the Austin Forum's online books discussions. She loves welcoming new and returning guests to AF events.

As a Finance/HR professional, Julie has worked in a variety of fields: commercial construction, staffing/recruiting, automotive technology, fin-tech, AI, and digital privacy.  Her leadership style blends common sense solutions and compassion for the humans who make a business work.
 
Her niche is scaling up efficient financial operations and implementing just-in-time finance and HR software solutions. Beyond the typical accounting, payroll, and tax functions, she fills commonly-overlooked gaps for growing companies by advising on liability insurance, employee benefit plan design, and active culture-building.

Julie has lived in Austin for 30+ years. She is currently in Dripping Springs with a large number of sons, a larger number of chickens, and an impressive science-fiction library.
