AI/DL Architect & Developer (full time contractor)

We are seeking an AI/DL (Deep Learning) Architect & Developer for contract work at Dell Technologies in Austin, TX. Dell Technologies is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. Major responsibilities include:
  • Publish reference architectures based on Nvidia GPUs and Dell server and storage products for AI/DL data scientists 
  • Create presentations about the systems developed and brief sales and customers on the technical details of the systems 
  • Develop tools and scripts to simplify the deployment and maintenance of these systems. 
  • Conduct functional testing and performance characterization to understand how complete solutions, including hardware, software and applications, will perform
  • Evaluate the use of Kubernetes for deep learning applications on GPUs
  • Develop best practices for deploying a deep learning system with Kubernetes based on Dell technologies and Nvidia GPUs 
  • Develop best practices on performing distributed (multi-node) deep learning training and inference with Kubernetes using commonly used DL frameworks such as Tensorflow, PyTorch, Cafe2, Keras, etc.
  • Track the recent developments in the AI community as well as AI systems architectures, hardware technologies and emerging applications area
  • Provide consultation to Dell Technologies pre-sales teams and customers on AI/DL infrastructure and technologies 
  • Work with other Dell AI, Big Data and HPC architects, engineers, developers, product managers, and sales staff to ensure that new AI solutions are best-in-class matched to customer needs, cost-effective, supportable, and have potential for significant impact and revenue.
  • Disseminate research to the AI & HPC community at conferences, workshops, and meetings
 
Requirements
  • BS/MS or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or Statistics
  • 5+ year total experience, with proven record in the AI and data analytics domain
  • Programming experience in C/C++, or Python
  • Experience deploying Kubernetes for AI workloads
  • Ability to present designs internally and with customers
  • Solid Deep learning background and familiarity with state-of-the-art techniques such as deep neural networks and their use cases such as image processing, natural language processing, speech recognition

Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Specialization in AI/machine learning/deep learning         
  • Contributions such as publications that have advanced the field
  • Domain specific knowledge with AI use cases in one or preferable several vertical industries such as finance, manufacturing, life sciences, automotive, security, logistics, etc.
